The incompatibility of changing the names of inexact->exact and exact->inexact was why I suggested adding a brief Note to say that the slightly misleading names are historical. That way any perceived inconsistency between the names and the semantics of the procedures can be explained.

A second alternative is to add synonyms, using the precedent of call/cc.
