True, but it's hard to know where to stop. Should it provide support for
the many other uses of letters for enumeration? In outlines, A = 1 in
English, and #\Alpha = 1 in Greek. What about the Unicode Roman-numeral
characters, or the many Chinese characters that have traditional numeric
values.
Still, since hex digits are part of Scheme, ballot ticket #452 filed
to provide support for A-F and a-f.
