I was cutting my teeth on a PDP-8 in 1974-75, my last year of high school,
though I didn't get into PDP-8 Lisp until a year or so later.

If you are interested in numeric towers, I have proposed
what I think is a coherent set of proposed towers at
http://trac.sacrideo.us/wg/wiki/NumericTower .  Review would be
appreciated, as WG1 will be taking up the question.
